Warm-ups aren’t just a formality – they’re the foundation of a strong, safe, and successful class.
In this 90-minute workshop, Jill will guide you through how to create a warm-up that incorporates both dance and fitness moves that actually prepares your students.
You’ll learn:
Dance and fitness moves that prepare the body
Concepts on how to tailor your warm-up based on class focus
How to avoid common mistakes that can lead to injury
You’ll get hands-on time to brainstorm your own warm-up, try it out, and receive personalized feedback from Jill.

Customize That Choreo With Melanie
Because dance should fit you, not the other way around.
You just learned a killer workshop choreo—but something feels off. It’s beautiful, but it doesn’t quite fit your body, your vibe, or your style. So now what?
In this creative, hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to take choreography you’ve worked hard to learn and make it your own—without losing the integrity of the original piece.
Because dance is not one-size-fits-all. Every dancer brings their own strengths, personality, and flair. It’s time to let that shine.
What to Expect:
• A real talk on intellectual property—what’s cool to change, and what’s not
• Tips for adjusting tempo, transitions, and styling to match your aesthetic
• How to modify levels, arms, and footwork across different styles (think folkloric, cabaret, fusion)
• Practice on a short choreo phrase and start customizing it—your way
• Share your take and explore different interpretations in a supportive space

Melanie is a passionate bellydance instructor and performer who graced major bellydance productions, lit up stages in Las Vegas, and proudly earned 3rd place at the prestigious Open World International Belly Dance Competition.
As the Director of Raqs Farasha, Melanie leads her troupe with creativity and heart, while also performing as a member of the innovative 4th Moon Dance Collective. Her love for storytelling through movement shines through every performance.
Beyond the stage, Melanie is a skilled performance coach and choreographer, helping dancers refine their technique, boost their confidence, and bring their unique artistry to life. Whether she’s leading a class, crafting choreography, or mentoring performers, Melanie brings energy, encouragement, and excellence to everything she does.

SharQui Workout: Our traditional high-energy bellydance workout.
SharQui 2: Our traditional high-energy bellydance workout but kicked up a notch with intricate moves as well as speed.
SharQui Veil: A traditional SharQui Workout infused with safe veil technique. Enhance your workout from the added upper body toning. Veil is optional as options for students without veils will be provided. Newbie to experienced friendly.
SharQui Styles: Our traditional high-energy bellydance workout but fused with an inspiration of another dance genre. Each week will be a new dance style fusion.
SharQui Strength: Your traditional SharQui Workout paired with light weights.
SharQui Core: This cross training class combines light weights and Pilates mat exercises with bellydance movements, all focused on strengthening the abdominals and back for SharQui.
Crash Choreo: Learn a 1-2 minute choreography that gets your heart rate up.
Total Body Strength: This is traditional strength training class with weights and cardio. A great way to cross train your bellydance practice!
Stretch: Start and end your week with a deep stretch class that incorporates standing and floor positions to open and lengthen the muscles from all angles. A wonderful and important compliment to our SharQui program to help you stay flexible, injury and pain free.
