Lead With You

Oftentimes, we put excuses on things to tell us why we’re not doing something. But when we really peel back the layers and get to the root of the excuses, it’s usually fear.

Some of you may think it’s time to start practicing your teaching with the Crew videos, or time to rent that studio or set up that online studio, or finally start promoting on social media – but you don’t. Or some of you may think that you’re not good enough (yet), or don’t have enough money for equipment, or don’t have enough time in the day to practice!

STOP!

This I believe comes from the lack of trust in yourself, which manifests into fear, which then results into… Nada.

No Bueno!

Look, I’m going to give it to you straight…whatever you desire within your SharQui business will happen as long as you are consistently doing the work. Why most people fall off is because they give up. Either they didn’t know the technology, how to promote, or they’re not getting the wins they want.

Realize, when you get to that place, it’s time to analyze and reevaluate what you’re doing (or not doing). “That place” is the only way to know how to get to the next level. It’s not an obstacle. It’s an opportunity to shift.

Let’s think back…shall we?

Why did you start dancing in the first place? Why did you start teaching? Go deep into your story. Evaluate your story. How can you use your story and what you’ve gone through to transform somebody else’s life?

That’s all it really is. Lead with your story. Your story is what you bring to your teaching and your promotion.

It’s simple on one hand, but we complicate it. We see everybody doing all of these things, and we think we have to do it like them. No!

Getting to the core of why and/or how you overcame IS your teaching business!

Remember… I started SharQui because I wanted to “fit in”.  I wanted to create something that was super inclusive and celebrated women of ALL forms.

You may be asking yourself, “Ok Oreet, I have my why…now how do I lead with my story?

Start simple. Start talking to people about what you do and can do for people. Then make very simple text posts on a social media platform of your choice, start with one platform. (If you’re not on social media, get on it dammit!) Then, graduate to a picture with text. Begin to engage with the comments. Then post more often. Get good at it then possibly add another social media platform.  Small steps. Small wins.

Truth Smack: Don’t be scared about starting or growing your teaching biz. In fact, what actually IS scary is not taking action on what you’ve been called to do – and that’s making an impact with your teaching.

Now, let us help you with that opportunity to shift. Here at SharQui we can help and make you accountable.  Awesome things are coming through the pipeline in the fall with instructor challenges, new ways to keep practicing the SharQui format, higher level certifications, and more!

In the meantime, get ‘crackalackin’ on those Crew videos and start engaging in our vibrant, SharQui Crew FB group. We also have free courses in Crew like, Business Basics and Your Online Studio Setup. Another option is to upgrade to Pro Tier where you get more mentoring and accountability.

We are here for you.

We are invested in you and your success.

For real.

Now get crackalackin!
